Dougherty is also the host of the “Beyond the Challenge” podcast, a podcast that features insurance executives discussing the opportunities and challenges facing the insurance industry. Dougherty has more than 20 years of senior management and leadership experience. As a former operations and payments executive with a mid-size insurance company, she is acutely aware of the challenges faced by insurer clients and prospects, and she is passionate about bringing greater efficiencies to client organizations. Dougherty’s experience gives her the unique perspective of understanding both the needs of the field and the constraints of the corporate office. She often uses her firsthand experience to help insurer clients face the challenges and take advantage of the opportunities in the corporate payments space, from transparency to cost savings. Dougherty holds a bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in business administration, management, and operations, along with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Western Governors University. She also holds several industry designations and memberships, including Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI), Woman’s Business Enterprise National Council, and Project Plus (from CompTIA). When she is not working, she can typically be found with her family or practicing Tae Kwon Do where she holds a first-degree black belt.
