Abhishek Gupta is a Senior Manager in the Cybersecurity practice of EY. Abhishek brings over 14 years of experience and has worked across several cyber domains – Strategy, Data Protection, Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Internal Audit. At leading global financial services (including insurance) firms, Abhishek has developed Cybersecurity strategy and roadmaps that he has the privilege of implementing. The strategy efforts have entailed analyzing cyber threats, identifying high value assets (HVA) and assessing capability maturity of the security program based on leading standards and regulatory guidance (ISO 27002, NY-DFS, FFIEC, NIST Cybersecurity framework, and EY’s proprietary framework) Abhishek has also led multi-year cybersecurity and data protection risk transformation programs that entailed designing, building and implementing a comprehensive set of data inventory and protection processes and controls. Projects have entailed the following: Enhancing data classification and protection standards and methodology for classifying data assets, Establishing decision framework for identifying high value assets (HVA), Designing an operating model that entailed defining processes, responsibilities, and skills requirements, Metrics and reporting to measure project progress and reduction in risk, Abhishek has a Masters of Science degree from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU).
